Welcome to
the Up For Grabs Main Page.
Note:
We are now meeting on mostly a
biweekly basis. See specific dates for 2019/2020 below.
What
is the Up For Grabs Juggling Club?
The Up
For Grabs Juggling club is one of the largest and oldest juggling clubs in
the Chicagoland area. Meeting since 1985, we have been around for more than
30 years. We have been an affiliate of the International Jugglers'
Association since 1989.
Who
are the Members of the Up For Grabs Juggling Club?
We
have a broad range of jugglers in our regular attendance. Everyone from
seasoned professionals and IJA medal winners, to hobbyists and beginners. See
our members link on the left for more info.
I
can't juggle, but want to learn. Can I come?
Sure!
All are welcome at all of our meetings. We will offer informal juggling
instruction to anyone who wants to learn.
When?
We
meet on mostly a biweekly
basis (every other week) from 7-9 p.m.
2019: 7/1, 7/15, 7/29, 8/12, 8/26,
9/9, 9/23, TO BE
ANNOUNCED (See “Where?” info below)
2020: To be announced (TBA)
(Except
some holidays. Contact us with questions about any
specific week)
Where?
For the summer months, we meet outdoors at McCullough Park next
to the Guy V. Prisco Community Center, Lake Street (Route 31) in Aurora, IL.
We meet near the tall shade trees at the south end of the community center
parking lot. Our meetings are of course weather-dependent and we won't meet
if it's rainy or stormy. Directions
We’re
meeting outdoors at a local park for the summer months since we lost our
indoor juggling space. If you know of
someplace in the Aurora area where we can meet indoors for free (or at a very
low cost), please contact Todd
Claxton.
